Claire wants to know what Anna thinks of Claire. She's self centered.

Solomon would also like to know what Anna thinks of him.

Anna thinks that Solomon is attractive, and funny, and good company.

She also has no idea what his motives are, or how much he really means the surface charm and things, so she's always a little guarded when he's around.

This could change with a longer acquaintance.

Anna thinks Claire is very businesslike, and always planning how to get the advantage of a situation.

She does not trust the woman as far as she can throw her, but thinks she's reasonably good conversational company anyway.

And she finds Claire's ways of attempting to finagle her into vampire territory hilariously funny.

"Can we just run off and be hetero lifemates together? Everyone else is giving me a fucking headache."

She looks both startled and amused.

"Sure. I mean, I'm gonna need a vibrator, but as long as you keep me in batteries, we're golden."

"... Well, I mean, it doesn't have to be hetero. I don't want to put a big financial strain on you."

"And I'd hate to keep you prisoner of your good nature. So--is this us at an impasse?"

She's not laughing.

"A really sexy impasse, apparently."

Beat.

"Or, you know. So Russ would say."

Because -- I mean, no offense, you're hot an' all -- but that'd be pretty damn weird.

"We're not taping anything for him."

Anna coughs.

"If, of course, there were ever anything to tape."

"It's all right to be afraid of the fangs, dear."

She smiles, flashing said fangs.

"It doesn't impinge on your masculinity at all."

Instinctive snarl. It's the teeth.

"Sorry, sweetheart. You smell wrong."

"What what taping what?"

THAT'S MEAN!!!!!

Gwen jumps.

"Oh! Um."

And squares her shoulders.

"Russ ... I know this is going to be hard to hear. But I've decided I'm leaving you for Anna."

She's still smiling sweetly.

"You know, I think Claire might say the same of you. Funny how that works, isn't it?"

"Way of the world."

A smilesnarl back at her.

"An' I'm just fine with it."

"Alphas."

She says it in the same way someone might have said 'boys', not that long ago.

Kind of amused and exasperated both.

"Next you'll both be pissing on the walls."

Anna smiles.

"I'm sure you have a very good imagination. It'll be okay."

Anna wraps one arm around Gwen's shoulders.

"I'm glad to have her."

"But. But. But! BUT--! CAMCORDERS! We don't have any more!"

He thinks about this whole thing for a few moments.

"Nnrngnngg."

Anna just laughs.

"Do you need some privacy?"

Completely sincerely . . .

"Do you need a hug?"

She needs lots of hugs. *helps!*
